Demonstration at the printing department
04.08.2019 @ 14:00 - 18:00
The demonstrator will show how the handwriting from the Gutenberg’s invention of printing in the 15th century to the end of the 20th century was hand-embedded, and the operation of the tiegl semi-automatic printing machine on foot. Visitors will also be able to print a sheet with a hand-held matrix. The first semiautomatic lathe was compiled by American Stephen Ruggles in 1839. The ever-advanced lathe machines were the usual part of the high-printing machines in each printing house by the end of the 20th century.
The demonstration will take place from 2pm to 6pm.
Sunday events can be viewed by purchasing a museum ticket.
