On Wednesday, October 2nd, at 6:00 pm we invite you to the Technical Museum of Slovenia in Bistra near Vrhnika to the opening of the new permanent exhibition “The Metalworking Machinery”.

The main focus of the exhibition will be on the presentation of the mechanical workshop from Rožna dolina (Ljubljana).  The importance of this mechanical workshop for the Slovenian technical legacy is represented by the activities of three generations of the Kunaver family, which successfully followed the trends and development of engineering at home and abroad. Moreover – they even added some improvements of their own, using their extensive knowledge, skills and expertise. Both in their own workshops and in cooperation with other Ljubljana workshops and the Technical secondary school they designed and built numerous machines for metalworking as well as individual additional parts for other machines – and they did so with such high quality and precision that most of these machines or machine parts are still in use to this day.
